Born in the heart of Spain’s saffron growing region, Santi Flores grew up in a family of artists and artisans in a variety of disciplines.  He knew from an early age that his professional life would be in activities where creativity, original thinking, and technique are essential.  Adolescent involvements in amateur theater companies led to his discovery of music as the perfect accompaniment in developing his own artistic language.  During many years as a professional musician, Santi found a calming and still exciting complement to the life of touring and concerts—visual arts. Gradually his passion shifted to sculpture, a discipline that now occupies his professional life while fulfilling his innate and strong creative drive.  Santi Flores has had successful exhibitions and solo shows in major cities of Spain, in Berlin, Rome, and New York City. Arrival of his monumental figures at Ventana Fine Art in late 2022 brings his postmodern sculptures to a former capital of New Spain, the oldest capital city in the United States, and the market with the highest number of galleries per capita in the world.

“Here” was created by artist Santi Flores and symbolizes unity,  diversity and individuality,  and  will be dedicated to all New Yorkers and visitors passing through the neighborhood.
